Episode 246 features Goddamn Wolves, an indie rock band hailing from North Carolina. They draw influence from classic alternative rock bands such as the Replacements and Pixies. Goddamn Wolves is led by Chris Weilding and Laura McCullough. The band has released three EPs: "Goddamn Wolves," "Dauphine," and "Resign Yourself." The latter was recorded with the exceptional engineer Missy Thangs at Fidelitorium Recordings in Kernersville, NC.
In the episode, I showcased two brand new songs that just dropped on January 5th: ‘older, slower’ and ‘everything is free.’ If you enjoy either of them, you can stream them wherever you listen to music. I had a really fun conversation with Laurq and Chris, delving into the origins of the band, their style of songwriting, the Raleigh music scene, as well as Laura’s brush encounter with Courtney Love. It also turns out that we will be playing a show together at The Night Rider 5/4 in Raleigh. Thank you for tuning in and supporting local music.
