KRHS 90.1 FM Radioactive Radio
Education
Students from Ritenour High School in St. Louis, MO have the option to take the elective courses in Radio. The students run and manage the 40 year old KRHS 90.1 FM radioactive radio station. This FCC licensed noncommercial station broadcasts 24 hours within a 10 mile radius of the campus.
Students also record Podcasts during their time in class. This audio story gives advice to other scholastic journalism advisors on what challenges and ideas students have incorporated into their program.
