See No Jihadists

New Yorkers already have buyer’s remorse about their radical new mayor, Bill de Blasio. That unhappiness may soon turn to alarm, however.

The mayor’s choice to head the NYPD, former commissioner William Bratton, has just shut down a program used for over a decade to conduct legal undercover surveillance of Muslim mosques, community centers and other potential incubators of jihadism.

A Bratton spokesman says, “In the future, [the police] will gather that information, if necessary, through direct contact between the police precincts and the representatives of the communities they serve.”

In other words, from now on, NYPD will be reduced to asking for tips about jihadists from self-appointed “representatives” of Muslim-Americans – who just happen to be adherents to shariah and the jihad it commands.

Care to bet your life on that arrangement?
