On this show a focus on Elton Dean who performed on alto saxophone, saxello,  and occasionally keyboards. Dean established his reputation as a member of the Keith Tippett Sextet from 1968 to 1970, and in  Soft Machine from 1969 to 1972. He also had a successful solo career as well as many collaborations and guest appearances. His discography includes well over 100 albums. This episode includes a selection of examples of his work.’
