Hidden away from a land torn by war and famine, the monks of an isolated monastery use stories to help them understand their position on the Path. When Gan, an ambitious young novice, asks to hear the tale of King Raden, he doesn’t realise that the story will reveal more about him, and about the monastery’s abbot, than he ever expected.
