The EU Commissioner for the Economy says Ireland won’t lose its competitive edge if it signs up to a global deal to increase the minimum corporate tax rate to fifteen percent (15%).
Paolo Gentiloni made the comments during his visit to Dublin today (in an interview with EU News Radio).
Mr Gentiloni said the European Commission supports the move to have a minimum global corporate tax rate of fifteen percent. But he said the Commission respects Ireland’s need to understand the details and challenges such a deal would pose.
