LATE WEEK BONUS EPISODE DROP
Join us once again in welcoming a true master at work MistyK The DJ in the latest installment of Rock Talk With MistyK The DJ
Did you know that following the break up of The Beatles, their producer and 5th Beatle Sir George Martin, looking for work and new challenges on the horizon, opened up his first of three Air Studios, one of which is still operating to this very day?
What you may not have known is that Martin's most recent incarnation of his state of the art Air Studios chain of recording studios was built under an, up until then, long dormant volcano in the next best thing you can imagine to a deserted tropical paradise, the tiny island of Montserrat.
Just 10 miles long and 7 miles wide, Montserrat has roughly 25 miles of coastline and within that tiny patch of heaven on earth emerged some of the most artistically and commercially successful albums of the 1980's...
Until...
The frickin' VOLCANO ERPUTED!!!
And then...
THE HURRICANE!!
Join us as we pick MistyK The DJs brain for all the Who, What, Where, Why and Whens of the tragedy that followed in the wake of not one but...
TWO NATURAL DISASTERS!!
to befall the people of Montserrat and the not so little idyllic recording studio that could!
All this AND MORE!
...in this special BONUS mid week Episode drop of Rock N Roll Fashionistas, contextualizing rock n roll since Woodstock 2024
