TD Ciaran Cannon calls for vacant building refurbishment scheme to include rental

Local TD Ciaran Cannon is calling for the vacant building refurbishment scheme to also include rental properties.

The Croí Conaithe scheme offers a grant of up to €50,000 to refurbish vacant and derelict properties.

However, to avail of the grant currently, applicants must use the property as their principal private residence.
