After Willow suckjobs the borrowed magicks out of Giles, her ambitions grow from ending Jonathan and Andrew to ending the entire world. With Buffy and Dawn otherwise distracted and Anya tending to Giles, it looks like it’s finally Xander’s time to shine. To quote Giles from Season 1, “The Earth is doomed.”
