Creativity comes with authority! When we create, we are moving from the most authentic places of who we are. True creativity is not an echo of something that worked 30 years ago, but a voice that that is uniquely us. Join us as we discuss the role of worship and creativity in empowering generations to carry heaven and shift culture. Also, joining us in interview is one of our heroes, Ray Hughes. Enjoy!
Ray Hughes lives within earshot of the Singing River near Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He has traveled the world for over 40 years as an author, storyteller, songwriter, and poet. He is passionate about creativity and training creative people. He is also passionate about biscuits, old guitars, and looking gift horses in the mouth (but not necessarily in that order). He doesn't trust people that good dogs don't like.
Ray also has an online worship and creative school. Selah.Online is rooted in the model provided by Samuel. Samuel was the Biblical prophet who anointed, appointed, and released David into his destiny. This established the Tabernacle of David, and set in place many of the Worship principles that we aspire to today (see Amos 9:11; Acts 15:16). Samuel established a school of the prophets and raised up musicians, singers, writers, and storytellers to prophetically minister to the Lord. We know that this is where David would have been inspired and trained, and where the foundations of the Tabernacle of David were established. This prophetic community cultivated such an atmosphere of the presence and power of God that all who encountered it were radically changed. They walked in such prophetic grace and gifting that they dramatically affected their culture while ultimately helping to shape the destiny of Israel and the World. http://www.selah.online/ http://www.rayhughes.org/
Nextgen worship is the voice of a movement whose purpose is to empower generations to carry heaven and shift culture. As sons of God, we bear the responsibility to import heavens heart and mind culture into the earth in such a way that it causes societal transformation. We believe that the ecosystem we are creating as sons and daughters of God is going to build in momentum resulting in a stronghold of heaven on earth that cannot be undone.
We are all stewards of an emerging heavenly invasion in our generation that is going to begin to shift the balance from darkness to light and see the release of answers to unsolvable problems on an epic scale. The sons and daughters of God are catalysts of creativity that will lead to cultural rebirth and a renaissance that ushers in a new era of the kingdom of heaven on earth.
