Religion & Spirituality:Spirituality
It is said that “love isn’t what you say; love is what you do.” Consider that for ourselves as well as others. That doing might make us uncomfortable: changing anything, even if it is for the better; standing in our truth; saying YES and even saying NO.
We want to be comfy, warm and fuzzy. Sometimes it works. But sometimes it doesn’t. The comfy starts to be not so comfy. And the still small voice slowly gets louder until it becomes “divine discontent.” This can happen in our work, our relationships, and our day to day experiences. Just going along to get along doesn’t allow us to lead wholehearted lives.
The divine discontent keeps tapping us on the shoulder, pulling our sleeve, reminding us in a loving but more and more forceful way that our lives could be different and better if we were willing to step into our greater good.
Wednesday is Valentine’s Day, when we remember and honor the experience of LOVE–for others but also for ourselves. How important it is to stand in integrity with ourselves.
