Guest: Lia Lamela - Journeywoman Electrician and host of the Sparky Life Podcast
Lia Lamela came to the skilled trades later in her career journey, but once she found her way to them - she dove in head first. A strong willed, spunky New Jersey Girl (like your host!) Lia did in 3 years what most do in 4 to 5 years. She quickly became an evangelist for the skilled trades and even has her own podcast that she produces and hosts called The Sparky Life, where - in her words - she focuses on “debunking untrue myths about trade careers, female inclusion in construction careers, and sharing tantalizing trade tales of heartache, struggles, and unparalleled success.” Lia’s background is in manufacturing and installing BMS control panels primarily in Data Centers, and had recently embarked on a new venture working with firm alarm and studying for the NICET Level 1.
Tune in for an episode of With Her Two Hands you don’t want to miss! Lord knows.. when you put 2 New Jersey Girls together, there’s no telling what will happen :)
