Sara Knight is featured on The KORE Women Podcast. She is the founder and president of The Sweet Julia Grace Foundation, which is based in Bristow, Virginia. Sara founded the Sweet Julia Grace Foundation (SJGF) in honor of her daughter, Julia Grace, who passed away in 2013 at the age of 12. In 2014, Sara began the work to create SJGF with the mission to grant wishes and meet the non-medical needs of children who are seriously ill, have special needs, or who are in the midst of a medical crisis.
You’re going to want to take the time to listen to Sara’s journey of loss, grief, her desire to help children, and the reason for the motto of her organization, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storms to pass, it’s learning to dance in the rain” (Vivian Greene).
