The EU Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries will meet representatives of fishers’ organisations in Killybegs Harbour on Monday.
The trip to Donegal is part of a 2-day visit to Ireland during which Commissioner Sinkevicius will meet a range of people including government ministers and people from fishing and environmental organisations.
The Commissioner’s trip comes at a time of great concern to those in the fishing industry whose livelihoods are being heavily impacted by Brexit.
In an interview with EU News Radio, Commissioner Sinkevicius explained why he’s going to Donegal.
