Dear Friends,
That Friday afternoon it seemed like an open and shut case. Jesus was dead and buried. He was gone for good. For the Romans, it was a useful warning to trouble-makers. For the Sanhedrin, it was just punishment for a clever con-man. For the disciples, it was crushing disillusion and despair. For his mother, it was the indescribable pain of watching her boy be destroyed. His story wasn't supposed to end that way. And, of course, it didn't.
