Galway wool co-op wins highly commended EU prize

An innovative virtual cooperative that aims to restore “the cultural integrity” of native Irish wool has won a highly commended prize from the EU. The Galway wool co-op was runner up in one of the categories of the EU’s  Agricultural and Rural Inspiration Awards (ARIA).  The event honours green, socially inclusive and innovative Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) projects implemented at local level.

Well the co.founder of the Galway Wool co-op is Blatnaid Gallagher. She gave her reaction to winning the award.
