The COVID-19 Pandemic turned our lives upside-down and catapulted us into an ever-evolving state of “new normal.” As a result, a twin pandemic emerged – a global mental health crisis. The World Health Organization recently found that the first year of the pandemic alone triggered a 25% increase in the prevalence of anxiety and depression worldwide, with loneliness, fear of infection, suffering and death for oneself and for loved ones, grief after bereavement and financial worries considered to be major stressors.
