One of the most historic names in the karting industry for USA is Margay. One of the few chassis manufacturers in the United States continues to be at all levels of the sport. Decades after the company began, third-generation owner Keith Freber understands that sport can only grow with new people coming in. Their grassroots effort with the new Ignite program riding off of the popular Briggs & Stratton powerplant is part of the sport’s growth over the last five years. Now, the new partnership with Circuit of the America is expanding their reach. EKN’s Rob Howden spoke with Freber about the history of Margay, where the company is today and off course the future of Ignite.
