12: How My Toddler Heard the Voice of God in the Midst of Hurricane Ian

Do you want God to speak to you? I grew up in the church, but I don’t think that anyone taught me how to listen for God’s voice. A few years ago, God began to show me that I was easily distracted by comfort, entertainment and the pursuit of my goals. As I began to minimize the distractions and prioritize my relationship with God, I began to hear his voice more clearly. God never fails to show me his steadfast love, and last week was no exception. He showed up for us in the midst of the storm.

 

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. James 4:8-10
