Following on from Easter Sunday, this week we looked at one of the remarkable stories that took place after the Resurrection. Initially, the disciples on the road to Emmaus were unable to see Jesus, although he was right there in their midst. This reflects much of our own experience, and that of our wider culture! Jamie unpacked some of the ways that they started to perceive his presence and what we might take from them. He also looked in some detail at Jesus’ claim that all of Scripture pointed to himself. What might this mean for the way we use the Bible? And if we lose sight of this fact, are we in danger of missing what is actually unique about Christian faith?
