Filmmaker Tugené Davis is here to join me in breaking down the many shades of college life at Mission College in Spike Lee’s 1988 musical masterpiece School Daze starring Laurence Fishburne and Tisha Campbell.
Tugené shares the life-changing gifts she received from her time as a first generation college student at Howard University. Offering personal insight into the heartbeat of HBCU culture, Tugené gets candid about communication through artistry, Spike Lee's incredible messaging, daring to dream big, waking up, and the lasting legacy of her friend and gifted performer Chadwick Boseman.
