Reflecting upon the life of Jesus Christ, I see that in his interaction with people he exhibits his uniqueness. But his uniqueness goes beyond these encounters!
When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there. Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? (Matthew 13:53-55)
Jesus is the ultimate wise man! As we read the Gospels, we see that when Jesus spoke words, people were amazed. They were astounded that He spoke with wisdom, elegance and yet with authority. They had never heard anyone speak like He did - with both grace and authority. What does that mean for you today? Download and listen to the Podcast to find out more!
