We're baaack! We explain the unplanned hiatus: spooky season started a little early for Maria. She's been dealing with a scary situation in her apartment complex. There were drug dealers squatting in the unit next door, and then a shooting at the building...it was a mess. Not a conducive environment for podcasting, or anything really.
The rest of the episode is a news dump where we try to absorb potentially a depressingly large red wave for this year's midterms, some upcoming upsetting Supreme Court cases, Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter (Erin has STRONG feelings), Ye's antisemitism...yikes... and general anxiety about global events in Ukraine, Brazil, and China. We didn't get to Iran in this episode, but there's a lot to say, and we will discuss it soon.
No we see you this week, but we'll resume those next week. We also have a few great interviews we've been conducting with authors participating in the Miami Book Fair. We can't wait to share them with you!
