It’s no accident that the song ends the way it does, putting us squarely in making Peace our individual responsibility. This year, we are more silent in so many ways as we celebrate Christmas. And silence within ourselves is the place where Peace is born. The Christmas story contains major characters that, were it not for their silent listening, would have missed the blessing of the birth of the Christ.
