IS BEING CALLED THE N-WORD NOW A CRIMINAL DEFENSE?

Was the white guy who got lynched at a Holly Springs, Mississippi bar the victim of a hate crime or is he the most recent FAFO champion? Should being called the N-word be viable criminal defense or should grown men be able to control their emotions enough to know that words are not actual weapons?
