Episode 56 Financial Coercive Control and your Self Esteem

Financial abuse is an aspect of ‘coercive control’ – a pattern of controlling, threatening and degrading behaviour that restricts a victims’ freedom.

It’s important to understand that financial abuse seldom happens in isolation: in most cases the abuser uses other behaviours to reinforce the financial control.

Financial abuse involves the misuse of money limiting the control of their partner.
