The International Court of Justice (ICJ), the United Nations’ principal judicial organ, Thursday began a two-day hearing on a petition moved by South Africa accusing Israel of carrying out genocide in Gaza amid the ongoing war. South Africa has also urged the court to order Israel to cease its military operation in Gaza.
