"How many days will the wet weather last"?
It's 1987. Paul McCartney's 80s "cloudy" slump reaches its peak. Broad Street/Live Aid/Press To Play/Sessions with Phil Ramone/Return To Pepperland all have yielded well below par for our kid.
A new manager, Richard Ogden jumpstarts Macca with the All The Best! campaign. He then suggests a songwriting collaboration with Mr. Declan McManus (Elvis Costello) to provide a much needed shot in the arm of creativity ultimately resulting in the critically acclaimed June 1989 release of Flowers In The Dirt.
This week on 2Legs we examine the relationship and the results of this collaboration with Mr. Tony Traguardo (Fab4Free4All). The "3 Legs" on this episode have some interesting thoughts on this overlooked collaboration in the Macca canon. Enjoy!
