The very first time Dr. Katharine Hayhoe spoke on a CCL national call in November of 2011, we realized she had an exceptional gift for communicating climate science, even to those who are skeptics. Just how exceptional, the nation would soon discover. In 2014, she was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People, and she was featured in Showtime’s award-winning series on climate change, “Years of Living Dangerously.”
Dr. Hayhoe, an atmospheric scientist at Texas Tech University, is also an evangelical Christian. She teamed with her husband and pastor Andrew Farley to write A Climate for Change: Global Warming Facts for Faith-Based Decisions, a book that explains climate science in a way that speaks to people of faith.
