In this episode, I talk with an old friend from grad school, Jace Jackson. Jace is a Firefighter, Paramedic, Certified Rescue Specialist, and also serves as the VP on the Executive Board of his Fire Fighters Union. We discus the training needs of first responders, the unique physiological toll that stress can have on the body, the importance of sleep and de-stressing, and how to be as physically sharp and ready as possible when the "tones" go off.
