On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, host Pam Marvin spoke with Fr. Augustine Ariwaodo, parochial vicar at St. Mary's in College Station, Texas. In the first part of the show, RED-C president Dennis Macha reviewed the motu proprio from Pope Francis, Vos Estis Lux Mundi, promulgating the canonical responses to the abuse crisis. In the second part of the program, Fr. Ariwaodo discussed his new album, To His Glory, which is his own deeply personal response to the Church scandals. Fr. Augustine is originally from Nigeria and has a musical background in his native language of Igbo that was nurtured by his family from a young age. Music has remained a special way for this priest to connect to the Lord. For him, music is a gift and this album is a calling—like a fire burning in his heart. It is a call for us to put our hope in Christ and the Truths of His Church. You can listen to it now at: aggiecatholic.org/tohisglory, where you can also purchase a digital download or a CD We hope you enjoy this wonderful interview, and remember when choosing between the values of heaven and the values of earth, always round up!
