Authentic Power

The Morning of Life (first half of life) is a pursuit of power: degrees, titles, money, possessions, partners, strength, beauty, and outward conquests of all types. The problem is that none of these things are really ours to possess, and in the end, none of them never last. Authentic power isn’t defined by anything out in the world, bound to a particular time or dependent on our circumstances. Rather, it is found within us, and once we discover it, it grows stronger with each passing day, and is with us to end of our life. This is the opportunity provided to each of us in the Afternoon of Life. This is authentic power.
