Why Do Pets Matter? Hosted by Debra Hamilton, Esq.
Kids & Family:Pets & Animals
Why do pets matter to Chris Roy, Founder of Doobert.com?
"Each pet has an individual personality and is uniquely different from other animals showing just how sentient they are. They matter to me because of this consciousness, awareness, and ability to love, grieve and experience joy and sorrow just like humans. They communicate to us in their own ways, and we embrace their love and grieve their loss when they are gone. They are more than pets, they are family."
Chris just launched an online store called Doobert Forward, where you can shop for your pet's food, treats, and other supplies while helping your favorite rescues at the same time. A percentage of every sale is donated to the non-profit animal wellness organization of your choice! It’s easy to do, and it won't cost you a thing.
While similar to Amazon Smile, Doobert donates 5% of your purchase to the organization(s) of your choice. That's substantially more than Amazon Smile gives.
The store has many different products, and they're adding more distributors and products all the time!
If your preferred rescue or shelter isn't listed, be sure to let them know about the store and tell them to go to Doobert.com to apply to become a partner so they can benefit from the shop or one of the other services that doobert.com offers free of charge.

Chris is a technology guy in his "day" job and used his experience to create Doobert.com, which is an online software platform custom-built for animal rescuers.
It's like a combination of Match.com specifically for animal shelters and rescues to find new partners, and then a volunteer Uber for getting the animals where they need to go.
Chris enjoys helping provide technology solutions to some of the biggest challenges in animal rescue and is always looking for new ways to help animals and the people that care for them.
Chris is supported by his amazing wife Daphne, and together they have 5 furkids: 4 cats and 1 dog.
