In the early hours of Saturday, the Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha'apai volcano erupted violently in the Kingdom of Tonga in Oceania. It led to a record number of lightning discharges, two types of tsunamis, the collapse of the volcano into the water, submerging of multiple islands, and a shockwave that traveled around the world.
