MEPs in the European Parliament have voted for the early termination of office of a vice-president caught up in a growing corruption scandal.
Just a short time ago the vast majority of MEPs voted to remove Greek MEP Eva Kaili from her position of vice-president of the Parliament.
Ms Kaili is one of several people who've been arrested for allegedly accepting bribes from World cup hosts Qatar who wanted to win influence in Europe. Belgian investigators continued searching offices in the European Parliament in Brussels yesterday as the probe into the alleged brides continued.
Green MEP Grace O'Sullivan says it’s “an awful atrocious situation” that is rocking the integrity of the Parliament.
