Galway Animal Welfare charities receive €170,000 in funding

A number of Galway Animal Welfare charities have recevied their share of €170,000 in funding.

It's part of the €5.8 million national fund to coincide with the second annual Animal Welfare Awareness Day.

Along with the funding announcement, the winners of a national art competition were revealed.

Ava McCole from Galway was named one of five winners of over 1,000 entries.
