This week, Justin brings us the story of Irena Sendler, the Polish social worker who conspired against the Nazi regime to smuggle children and babies out of the Warsaw Ghetto during the German occupation. Irena was a vocal critic of anti-semitism throughout her life, to the point where she was refused work opportunities because her University labelled her a "philo-semite," or Jew-Lover. The label didn't stop her or hold her back, because before the war was over, she was responsible for saving the lives of 2,500 children.
