Episode 66: The Fire Question

In this episode, we continue our coverage of the May 21 election as we sit down with Aurora Fire Chief Joshua Williams to discuss the proposed 99-cent operating levy they’re putting before voters again. They tried in the election last May, and the measure failed...by just nine votes.

If it fails again, Chief Williams says the district may consider a smaller replacement before the current levy expires next year. If the levy expires with no new measure in place, the district will be forced to cut it's budget by 37 percent.
