The Crime Couch with Rochelle Jackson
True Crime
As a prison guard Rick Kaliszewski spent more than three decades in Victoria’s toughest prisons dealing with the hardest crooks and villains. He had his life threatened and survived riots in Pentridge. Rick worked in the Canine Units and later became a prison supervisor. He tells an amazing story of chasing gangland crook Lewis Caine with a loaded gun through the streets of Melbourne, after Caine had done a runner from the Supreme Court. After threatening to shoot him, Rick ended up forming an unlikely alliance with the underworld figure.
