Jim Obergefell is the named litigant in Obergefell v. Hodges, the 2015 U.S. Supreme Court case winning same sex couples in the United States the right to marry. A Sandusky native, Obergefell wants to represent a NW Ohio district in the Ohio House, and if successful, he will be only the third openly LGBT person to do that.
