On January 15th, 1947, Elizabeth Short's dead, mutilated body was found in a vacant lot just steps away from the sidewalk. Elizabeth was naked, battered and cut cleanly in half at the waist...But before we explore what happened to Elizabeth, it's only fair that we find out who she was.
It's our tenth episode, and you guys chose a doozie! This week WWBD begins the complicated story of Elizabeth Short, better known as "The Black Dahlia". This case might just be the most famous unsolved murder in the history of murders, in fact the LAPD still uses it as a teaching tool. In this first installment we will get to know Elizabeth and the situation in which she was found. Next week we will explore the crime scene, investigation, legal action and suspects.
