NH Gubernatorial Candidate Dr. Tom Sherman-September 26th

State Senator Tom Sherman Democrat nominee for Governor this morning on the Good Morning New Hampshire show criticize Governor Chris Sununu for supporting restrictions on abortion for women in New Hampshire in the 7th 8th and 9th months. The abortion issue has become an emotional issue in the midterm elections here in New Hampshire.  Sherman calls the New Hampshire law the Sununu Abortion Ban. The current New Hampshire law does not ban a restrict abortion through 6 months, there are restrictions only in the 7th 8th or 9th month. When asked more than once this morning on the show if Senator Sherman favors any ban or restrictions on abortion at all through 9 months he essentially said he does not favor any ban on abortion through 9 months and prefers any medical procedures in the last 3 months to be between a woman and her doctor. He also claimed that they were very few if any abortions performed after 6 months in New Hampshire.
