On this week’s show we are thrilled to welcome Commissioner Edward Grayson of NYC’s Strongest! He provides an exciting insight into this city's agency, its responsibilities, challenges, dangers, lost, and history.
We also would like to thank the men and women of the DSNY for their service and sacrifice as first responders.
ABOUT THE COMMISSIONER
He grew up in Ridgewood. Everyone in his neighborhood had a plan for how they’d someday serve the people of New York, as so many of their parents did, including his own. As a Sanitation Worker, a Supervisor, a Superintendent, and a Chief, he has been proud to do just that for the last 22 years.
Mayor Bill de Blasio today appointed Edward Grayson as the Commissioner of the City of New York Department of Sanitation (DSNY). Grayson.. His father was a Sanitation worker and supervisor, and his mother was recycling outreach coordinator during the rollout of the City's groundbreaking citywide recycling program in the 1990s
