(Audio) Mid-Plains United Way and Nebraska Youth Center

Post News Director Canon Rath chatted with Mid-Plains United Way's Haven Smith and Lora Ballard from the Nebraska Youth Center. Smith gives us an update of what's going on with Mid-Plains United Way while we learn from Ballard what the Nebraska Youth Center is. 

  

NORTH PLATTE - The Mid-Plains United Way campaign is officially underway for the 2023-2024 campaign year. The United Way is raising money to help support their partner agencies. The Nebraska Youth Center is one of many partners agencies that works with Mid-Plains United Way. 

The Mid-Plains United Way has many upcoming events as we head into the holiday season. The events include: 

• Giving Tuesday, November 28th 
• Wrapped By Elves: Friday, December 8th-Sunday December 10th at Walmart in North Platte, presented by Lashely Land 
• Triple Bee Holiday Craft Show Concession Stand: December 16th and 17th at the D&N Event Center in North Platte 
• Giving Tree-FNBO @ 201 Dewey to benefit Hope Esperanza and Nebraska Youth Center during December 1st-20t 

The Nebraska Youth Center is to provide a safe environment for youths in crisis who can find acceptance in resolving issues. The center provides opportunities for these youth to positively change their behavioral patterns. The Nebraska Youth Center opened up its facility in North Platte in 2011.
