What a week! Sometimes things don't quite go as planned, but with perseverance (and the help of Dr. Nik Smilovsky) anything is possible! We were joined this week by Parker Hinson & Jake Rougeaux, GISP. Parker is the GIS Lead for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) while Jake, equally the overachiever, has two jobs. His military job is being an Engineering Assistant for the South Carolina Air National Guard. Thank you for your service Jake! His civilian job is being a GIS Analyst for Larson Design Group. This being our first pure GIS show, we took advantage of our time with these two GIS experts to discuss a number of topics including defining GIS, 1854, GIS vs geospatial, vector vs raptor, the GISP certification and some of the unique projects Parker & Jake have worked on. Producer BS made an appearance and DD compares producing a podcast to conceiving a child...you don't want to miss this! Music for this episode by Motley Crue!!!
