Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. So why do we keep on doing the same thing if we know better? The answer is that we don't know what else to do. What we are doing makes sense because it is familiar and makes us feel less anxious. Figuring out what else to do is often overwhelming and complicated. But what if the answer was simple--just do something different. Anything except what you are doing and quite possibly the opposite.
