Local TD claims retrofitting homes could reduce pressure on hospitals

The retrofitting of homes could reduce the pressure on hospitals, according to Galway-Roscommon TD Denis Naughton.

Pre pandemic, 15% of GP appointments were for respiratory issues, particularly asthma and COPD. 

There's currently no target for the investment in retrofitting the homes of those suffering with a respiratory condition.

Deputy Naughton explains how a pilot scheme has helped those suffering.
