Obama’s China Policy is Out of Whack

In recent months, Communist China has repeatedly sent warplanes to intercept and endanger unarmed American reconnaissance aircraft in international airspace. The Obama administration has responded by scolding the Chinese for engaging in “unsafe and unprofessional behavior.”

Of course, just such behavior back in 2001 cost a Chinese pilot his life, but delivered to Beijing a top-secret U.S. signals intelligence aircraft.  There were no repercussions for China, even as they established that our spy planes operate at their peril, even outside of PRC airspace.

It is, therefore, all the more incredible that our government can’t figure out why the Chinese would do something so “out of whack.” What’s really out of whack is our failure to recognize that Communist China is a present and growing threat, and to respond appropriately.
