WELCOME HEART: Living a Legacy Life
Religion & Spirituality:Christianity
Did you write your Manifesto after hearing my ziplining story? See Ep 79, if not.
Companies and ministries alike know the significance of creating a great mission statement. I find them in the back of magazines, church bulletins, and online articles. People want others to know what they are about, and in the believer’s case, Who they are about.
We know right away with Paul that His mission is about Someone, not something. Philippians 3:8 reads: “Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.”
Perhaps that’s the defining difference between religion and Christianity. God calls us to Himself through His Son, Jesus, and we need to clear out all things extraneous that keep us from relating well with Him.
Here's your assignment today (or maybe tomorrow, but be sure to do it!)
Loving God and others gives us something to do, and we all love a good To-Do List.
Our daily mission is to figure out how to fill in the blanks:
Lord, today I will love You by__________ and love others by __________.
We know what to fill in by keeping our ears open and hearts pliable.
____________
Here's a great way to love God and others: Invite someone over!
