Affordable housing, energy and electric cars for people living in Europe, will be among key EU priorities for 2026. The European Commission today spelled out the policy and legislative initiatives it’s aiming to tackle next year. Those priorities will dovetail with Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union which will take place in the second half of 2026.
EU Boss Ursula von der Leyen today explained why affordability will be a key part of the Commission’s work programme next year.
